if you have an old computer lying around, why sell it when you can upgrade it for cheap? Yes, this cpu is only single-core. But it outperforms many of the dual-core cpus. Especially if you're just doing simple tasks like internet streaming and email, it owns. Repurposing a system for something like that keeps them out of landfills and saves a load of cash. However, plan to buy some thermal paste and make sure you have a good heatsink, as this thing puts out a LOT of heat. If you're a real enthusiast I recommend the following upgrades to your purchase: 2 750Gb IDE Hard drives, 2GB of memory (check first if your system takes ddr sdram or rdram!) a 512mb agp graphics card, a pci HDTV tuner, a wireless n pci card, a bluetooth dongle, and a logitech ps3 mediaboard. If you're a really saavy shopper you can get all of this for just a few hundred and breathe new life into your machine to make it capable of running even full 1080p video and Windows 7!

Not sure what happened with this processor but I was unable to get it to work. Not something I did, I always take all necessary precautions when dealing with my computer. I am assuming it was because this processor was used.

Got it on marketplace. turned out that I didn't need it, my laptop had a bad motherboard. I hope that I can find another use for it, maybe I'll sell it to someone else. It's probably really fast.
