Flawless Jul 22, 2005
By M. Rausch The AMD Ahtlon 64 Venice processor is great. Installed into my new Gigabyte MB without a hitch and runs very cool. That will give up some room for future overclocking. Overall I would highly recommend the processor. By applying for their credit card, I received a really low price from Amazon which was very surprising. About $170.00 with free shipping and no tax. Everyone else was $200-$230 for the same processor. It is a great CPU at a good price from Amazon.

Good Solid CPU but HORRIBLE CPU Heatsink Jul 13, 2005
By Y. Yasuda
"Computer Builder"
This is good solid CPU. Very fast, reliable and runs relatively cool by itself. I prefer this processor over Intel processors at times. HOWEVER, make sure to get a new better CPU heatsink because this one is just horrible. The CPU heatsink is made by company called Foxconn and they make one of the worst CPU Heatsinks in the world. First of all the design was soo bad that it took me 2 hours JUST TO INSTALL it on my motherboard. Almost broke the motherboard in the process. And even after the struggle, I still could not push in the lock-in lever mechanism. Usually good heatsinks come with several levers for easy and stable install. This heatsink obviously shows that it has tried to cheap out in every aspect. They try to make you lock it in with one piece of cheap metal and plastic. I also took this heatsink to other computer builder gurus and they have all told me this is a cheap alluminum heatsink. Not to mention the fan was quite loud too. Stay for the good solid AMD Athlon 64 3200 CPU but STAY AWAY FROM FOXCONN HEATSINKS!

GREAT PROCESSOR Sep 08, 2006
By douglas strock I DECIDED TO DO A SOCKET 939 BUILD WITH THIS PROCESSOR AFTER USEING INTEL CPU'S FOR YEARS AND I HAVE TO SAY I AM VERY PLEASED SO FAR.
I MANAGED TO OVERCLOCK THIS VENICE CORE CPU TO 2500 MHZ STABLE WITH A ARTIC COOLING FREEZER 64 PRO CPU COOLER ON A JETWAY 939GT4-SLI BOARD WITH PROPER BIOS TUNEING
PERFORMACE IS NOTHING LESS THAN IMPRESSIVE BLOWS AWAY COMPARABLE CLOCK SPEED INTEL CPU IN BENCHMARKS

By Joseph P. Milano After What seemed a struggle the issue was resolved. The Advertising of a Boxed 939 processor and getting a OEM processor was not what i was expecting but after a few E-Mails my Money was refunded and the processor was shipped back. GOOD customer service!! Thank you very much.
Working processor good value Nov 25, 2011
By Aristotle This is a decent processor, and the price was decent, used. It worked.
However, if I had it to do over, I would have bought the dual core 3800+ that is currently in the machine. The dual core effectively doubles the speed of the computer, and, the price difference wasn't much.
The single 3200+ is at a point where with anti-virus software, you are getting 100% processor use too much.
To keep an old rig running, if you can't find the dual core processors for a decent price, This is a great deal.
