Great for reducing wrist pain May 29, 2008
By TW The ergo mat is a uniquely designed mouse pad for your computer. It's a sloping mouse pad which should help most people who have carpel tunnel because it helps the wrist be in a more natural position.
I have mild carpel tunnel and the way I've heard it explained to prevent carpel tunnel is to hold your hands and arms out in a relaxed position. Usually, the wrists are slightly rotated outwards.
The ergo mat slopes to accommodate the natural resting position of your arm and wrist. Since I'm right-handed I've positioned the mat so that it slopes down from the left to the right. It feels great.
My only issue with it is that it takes a while to get used to looking at a sloping mouse mat. It looks a little odd at first, but the benefits of using it outweigh the look.
The mat cover is made from a nice, smooth material and it seems that the inside is made from memory foam.
One additional use is that it makes a great elbow pad for your desk. Often carpal tunnel pain extends into the elbow especially if your elbow sits on the desk. I've used the pad to rest my elbow when I'm using the mouse. The only problem is I need one more ergo mat for the mouse when I use the pad as a elbow rest.

Excellent supportive mouse pad Apr 16, 2010
By Mr. David W. Gazzard I have tried many mouse pads with built in wrist supports but this one is beating them all hands down. The normal wrist supports tend to put pressure on the carpal tunnel in my wrist but this one provides support across the whole wrist and hand. Great product.

Don't Spill Anything On It!!! Feb 22, 2009
By K. Hatmaker This mouse pad is extremely comfortable. As a person with carpal tunnel, I can be on the computer for hours without feeling it in my wrists like I used to. Just don't spill anything on it! One of the fish tanks on my desk leaked and spilled onto the mouse pad, and it soaked up all the water! It took days to dry out, and now it smells disgusting! Make sure you store it out of the way if you're clumsy. Despite this setback, I will be ordering a new one, so it's a great product.

Don't go by the 5 star reviews!!! Dec 29, 2011
By Aluso I always read the reviews on Amazon before purchasing a product. If the overwhelming majority of reviews are positive, I'll take the negative ones into consideration but will generally go ahead with the purchase. This is the first time that approach has not worked. As indicated in earlier reviews, the mouse pad is very hard (not at all what one would expect from the picture or "memory foam" name) and has a horrible smell! I am not exaggerating! I am genuinely perplexed at the 5 star reviews.

Ergo-Mat is great Nov 06, 2010
By Radio Lover Jeff This is by far the best mouse pad I've tried. It's a little larger than the others I've tried so you don't run off the pad at all. It's real memory foam covered with a very durable fabric. It's 3/4" thick in the back, 1/2" in the front, 8 3/4" in length and 8 1/2" in width. No matter where your wrist is at on the pad it cushions the wrist with at least 1/2" of memory foam, slopes down toward the front keeping the wrist straight and stays where you put it like it's glued there. I'm going to get more of these for gifts and spares.
