Fantastic computer; no HDTV remote Aug 14, 2009

Overall, this is a fantastic computer. I am very satisfied. As a COMPUTER, I give it five stars. It includes Windows Media Center, so you can use it as a DVR for standard definition input through cable. There is also an HDMI input, but that is TV only (not accessible through the computer operating system -- you have to switch the input from "PC" to "HDMI") and it's not recordable on the computer itself. If you want to save anything, you'll have to get a separate TiVo or DVR -- and as far as I can tell (someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong!), you can't upload any HDTV content to burn onto Blu-Ray (you CAN upload through the coax cable and into Win. Media Center, but only at SD-quality...you lose the HD). So, if recording HDTV directly to the computer is important, look for another machine!
The HD picture is very good and the combo of a PC and HDTV is hard to beat for a small den or a home office.
The only thing that keeps me from giving this the full five stars is that the HDTV has no remote control at all. Oddly, there IS an included Windows Media Center remote for PC input, BUT when you switch to HDMI input you have to reach around to the side of the screen to adjust the picture, volume, etc. I'm old enough to remember having to physically touch a television to turn it on/off, and change the channels and volume -- but most people today might think this a VERY inconvenient design. I hope SONY corrects this in future models.
Aside from that last point, this machine is a home run!

All in one computer Jun 11, 2009
By G. Stark I love the fact that it is all-in-one no extra clutter or cables running eveywhere, great screen, used a mount to hang it from wall that way it is not even on my desk, easy to clean around. speakers could be better though.
