Nice System and Well Built Nov 22, 2009

This unit is built like a tank and it seems to have everything you need and then some. I had a Sony and it was a good unit but all of the new models seem to be going to that "all in one" approach where it gets outdated in a couple of years and then you have to recycle the whole thing. This unit is built to be upgraded over time and the stuff in it is state of the art.

I would give it 4 stars for serious effort. The only issue so far is that many of the drivers on the system were out of date and I had to spend the better part of a day finding all of the drivers and downloarding them from various web sites.

All in all I would say that this is a good system for the money.

I am disappointed in my experience with Velocity Micro. First, I learned that I would not get the upgrade to Windows 7 despite my purchasing the computer on Dec. 29, 2009 well before the deadline for the upgrade. (Fortunately, you at Amazon did give me some monetary credit for my not getting the upgrade from the manufacturer). When I hooked up the computer, it would power up and then shut down by itself in about 20 seconds. This happened repeatedly. Tech support tried to help me...I disconnected and reconnected wires with their help, but to no avail. I will say the person I spoke with was helpful. We had no choice but to send the computer back to the manufacturer for repair. At this point in time, it is with them, and I have not used it at all. I can only hope it comes back soon, and performs as I had hoped.

I'm happy,I bought this machine before the windows 7 was released and this guys have sent me the upgrade disc for Windows 7. Since then I didn't have any major problems with this computer, automaticly updating itself a works great.
